  • How do we sign up and how do we get started?
    You are welcome to call or email my office with your questions anytime. The office number is: 484-393-1077 text will work as well. The office email is: shepherd12214@gmail.com After contacting us we will set-up a meet and greet to see if we are a good match and of course meet your pets. During this visit we get to meet the pets and learn and review pertine information about the home and pet care routine, and answer any additional questions you might have. Our registration is very simple and our policy and procedures will be send to you ahead of our meet and greet via email or text. Meet and Greets are at no cost or obligation.
  • What service do you offer?
    The Malvern Mutt, provides in home pet care plans. This means we travel to your residence or location to take care of your pet. We provide those services whenever you need them; travel, long work hours, late meetings, work from home but don't have time to leave the desk, spouse / kids are not available, sporting event....... We also take care of cats, rabbits, fish, bird, guinea pigs, etc. We also provide in-home care overnights with is very popular.
  • Will you provide "gate-keeping / house" services without any pets?
    Yes we do, We provide the following services: Mail / news paper collection, full walk around the house out/inside, rotate / turn lights on/off, regulate thermostat, take out the trash, close curtains to give the home a lived-in-look. All this is to give you the owner peach of mind that your home is safe while you're away. Text to the client's will be performed right after "gate-keeping" service are complete.
  • Why should a pet owner use pet sitting service?
    We believe that keeping pets in their familiar environment helps to alleviate stress when their owners leave for vacation or for their daily job. Pets can then maintain their diet and daily routine. Trauma could occur from transporting, doggie day care / kenneling your pet. Remember pet services at home will also minimizing the exposure to various illness that other animals might carry! The new highly contagious and fetal dog virus is going around, it is not your regular Kennel Cough!
  • Do we take care of reactive (aggressive) dogs?
    This is on a meet and greet basis. If a pet is skittish or perhaps growls around a person who they don't know, we will be happy to work with the client and their pets to see if we can workout a pet care plan. Also if we need additional visits with owners present to socialize the pets around the dog walker we can work with that. Dogs with dog reactiveness (aggression) we can handle them with no problem.
  • What is your cancelation policy?
    All Dog Walking or Drop-In Services - provided for clients during the week (Monday through Friday) are subject to a $12.50 cancellation fee for each and any visit cancelled inside of 24 hours. All Dog Walking or Drop-In Services - provided for clients during the weekend or on a non-major holiday are subject to a $15 cancellation fee for each and any visit cancelled inside of 24 hours. Cancellations inside of 24 hours for a drop-in visit on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day are 100% due and non-refundable Pet Sitting and Overnight Services - The Malvern Mutt LLC requires a non-refundable 10% deposit of the total pet sitting price at the time of booking in order to reserve your dates. Reservations are not confirmed until the deposit has been received. The total pet sitting cost must be paid in full 30 days prior to the start of pet sitting services. If due to an unforeseen event you should need to cancel your booking, you must do so in writing by text or email no less than 30 days prior to pet sitting services. Cancellations made in writing by text or email 30 days or more prior to pet sitting services will receive a full refund minus the deposit; if you cancel 29 days or less before pet sitting services, you will receive 45% of your payment back minus the deposit. If we cancel the pet sitting services for any reason, 100% of the deposit and pet sitting services cost will be refunded Payment - Cash is preferred, and we also accept a check. While we do require a credit card on file for back up purposes only before any services begin, we otherwise do not accept any electronic payments of any kind. Returning early - The full contract agreement amount will be charged if you begin services and return home early. Time is reserved and cannot be resold on such short notice. Full price will also be charged if a Malvern Mutt LLC associate arrives at your house, but is turned away. Inclement weather, "Acts of God" - Visits cancelled when there is a severe weather warning will not be charged a cancellation fee, but advisories and other less serious weather concerns will be charged if it is safe for our employees to travel and service your pet. All cancellations / changes to scheduled services must be made by emailing to shepherd12214@gmail.com or texting The Malvern Mutt at 484-393-1077 Rescheduling - Any date changes made to existing Petsitting or Overnight services will incur a $75.00 rescheduling fee. Last Minute Services - (bookings inside of 24 hours) – There will be a $5 surcharge per visit added to services provided last minute (within 24 hours). Holidays - Dog Walks and drop-in visits on holidays incur a $10.00 surcharge per visit. Holiday bookings for Overnight and Pet Sitting services incur a $25.00 surcharge per night. Holidays include: Labor Day Weekend (Friday through Monday), Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day Weekend (Friday through Monday), and Independence Day. Reservations for Thanksgiving require 100% non-refundable payment in full 60 days prior. Reservations for Christmas and or New Year’s require 100% non-refundable payment in full 60 days prior. All Policies, Procedures and Rates are subject to change without notice.
  • How do you accept payments and when?
    We accept cash preferred and checks. Credit card, Venmo, Paypal ask for a service fee so we don't use them. Payment can be made after service is rendered that week.
  • So, after the meet and greet how do I schedule pet services?
    All scheduling request can be made very simple via text to: 484-393-1077 We will confirm your pets are on the schedule with a text back "Pets name is on the schedule now" tysm. Please text as much as possible all your schedule needs for the week on that Sunday. Vacation overnight request can be texted or email anytime to our office.
  • What time does the sitter make their rounds and for how long do they visit?
    Our sitters can visit their clients homes up to 5 times a day. * The "Morning" time slot is between 7:00 and 9:30 AM. * The "Mid Day" time slot is between 10:00 and 2:30 PM * The "Evening" time slot is between 3:00 and 6:00 PM * The "Late Night" time slot is between 7:00 and 9:00 PM Please note; Our visits are from the time we arrive till the time we leave your residence! We cannot do exact times! That is why it's called "time slots"! We offer various times from 20 min drop-in to 60 min visits and in home care over-nights house sitting services.
